Resident Stallion ~ Wynara Talk of the Town

'Cooper' is a 12.1 1/4hh, Pony Stallion. He is registered Part Welsh, Riding Pony, APSB Riding Pony, Saddle Pony, and Arabian Riding Pony.

Cooper is well performed under saddle, winning a Novice Pony Dressage Championship, Open Ag Show Championship, and multi Supreme Championships led.

His temerpament is amazing, he is so quiet and a real pleasure to own. He loves the beach, has won trail classes (yes, he goes over the timber bridge!) He has done one season of Hunting, can be ridden on roads, he has even been inside the house on more than one occasion!

Cooper is the perfect sire to breed ponies with a level-headed, unflappable nature, that are suitable for children. His first son, Wadelee Cartier, is testament to this nature, as he too is quiet and willing like his sire, with that nature that makes owning a pony a real pleasure.

Cooper has a real flair for Pony Dressage. He has won Champion Preliminary Pony at the 2008 SEDA Winter Series, beaten Warmbloods in Novice and Prelim tests locally, and he was the Champion Associate Novice Pony at the Victorian Pony Dressage Challenge, 2009 at Werribee Park NEC.

What a perfect sire to breed children's Pony Dressage Ponies, as he is not a sire who would suit Pony Dressage, he is actually out competing in Pony Dressage himself....and WINNING!

At only 12.1hh, he will breed quality small ponies, but crossed over a large pony / galloway / small hack, he will pass on his gorgeous pony temperament, flashy movement and as with his first foal, stunning white markings.

He is standing at Wadelee Pony Stud for $700 plus costs and agistment, to limited and approved mares.

Cooper will be served to our Stud mares in 2010 for 2011 foals. Expressions of interest are invited.

See 'Ponies of Wadelee' page for photos of mares being joined to Cooper:

Ashadatan Park Chance, 13.1hh RP x PW Mare
(Wadelee Cartier is the 2009 foal by this cross, also on the Ponies of Wadelee Page).
Ellie produces the most quiet, pretty foals. Carter, her 2009 foal, was shown at the Adelaide foal shows as a 5 month old, handling it all very well. Judges made comments on his quiet nature and beautiful manners, plus his even, rhythmic paces. One judge said, he just carries himself so well, he has beautiful uphill movement. We are excited to see, again, what this cross of Ellie and Cooper can produce, and hopefully this time we get plenty of 'bling' (white markings) for the 2011 foal!

Illustrious Grace, 15.1hh approx. Studbook Thoroughbred Mare
Gracie has the most gentle nature, such a pleasure to own, stunning floating trot and very pretty head, and eye. This is to be the most exciting cross, as we will be putting some height on this foal, sure to blitz the Pony Dressage and Show rings for the future.

Wynara Lollypop 12hh PW Pinto Mare
Lolly is a true blue kids pony, she has proven herself already out and about in Pony Club one day events, SA All Welsh shows, SJ Clinics etc. Lolly is a Pinto, so it will be interesting to see what is produced in regards to the colour of the foal, but this foal with be awesome as a child's pony for lead rein and Pony Club.
