Courtney Schleter & 'Acheron Guinevere' and 'Westbury Pinocchio' recently attended the SA All Welsh, this year being held at Mt. Pleasant for the first time. I was unable to make it this year due to personal circumstances.
Courtney did a great job with two ponies, going it alone for the weekend. Thankyou to the wonderful people who helped her out where they could, it is very much appreciated, and again, shows the lovely welcoming nature of Welsh People!
Winnie (Acheron Guinevere) did a great job on the led day, winning her Led Welsh Hunter Mare/Filly/Gelding of Section D Breeding from 6 other competitors, then wnning Reserve Champion led welsh hunter all sections. Winnie also won her Welsh Cob Dry Mare 4yrs and u/8 years from 2 other competitors, going on to win Reserve Champion Welsh Cob Mare to the highly successful Victorian section D broodmare, "Indi Zeta Jones".
Oakie (Westbury Pinocchio) won his Led Welsh Hunter Mare/Filly/Gelding of Section C Breeding from 4 other ponies, a top effort for Oakie who has finally matured and is looking fantastic. He also won his Welsh C Gelding class.
On the ridden day, Acheron Guinevere was very kindly ridden by Claire Madil in her Childs Ridden Welsh class, and soon after Winnie sadly pulled up lame. This was dissapointing as Winnie was Reserve Supreme Ridden exhibit of show last year, but oh well, these things happen. Maybe next year will be their year.
Westbury Pinocchio attended his 3rd ever ridden show under saddle, and proved the Welsh Temperament on the ridden day by doing a super job, very kindly ridden by Claire Madil and proving to be fun and no fuss for her, as this was her first time on the pony. He won both of his ridden classes, and was Champion section C, he went into the Supreme class but as we would expect of a 4yo pony with only his 3rd ridden show under saddle, he will probably need at least another year under saddle to be a serious contender. He is just a star in the making!

Wadelee Cartier had his first trip out on his own in the float, we went to Millicent show for two led classes. He got a 2nd and a 3rd but was very well behaved and impeccably presented. He won to more mature ponies but for an 11 month old he looked amazing and was just a gem. Carter will possibly be attending the Dartmoor Show led day for his last outing until I am back in action again next year. He is maturing well, and is already wearing his Sire 'Wynara Talk of the Town''s entire rug wardrobe, so he is certanly growing out nicely and I'm hoping he will make a super Large Pony gelding under saddle.
